i was totally waiting for this weather and it all went down like i had dreamed for years. cold front. wind making our mini blinds ripple like belly dancers. brittle leaves scurrying across streets and clumping together in masses next to curbs. jackets dusted off. sure enough – this morning, the glowing warmth of your body had heated our under blanket world to the perfect toasty warm. found myself dug into your magnificent chest. bare skin radiator. made the attempt to climb out and greet the cold tile of bathroom and brace for shower streams. barely one shift and sweet heavy arm scoops me back to my lover’s body. rhythm of breathing interrupted with one word -

don’t.

yes, yes. better than imagined. snooze button twice more.

last night, you were a man. black fitted shirt and confidence that could topple a crowd. composure with a dainty glint of spontaneity. wanted to pull you in so maybe i could feel.

make a woman of this awkward girl – peel away the wrinkled cartoon t-shirts and discard the floppy tennis shoes and behold this newly lit femininity. curve of hip and round of breast in candlelight.

mold me tonight and i’ll wake as your masterpiece.
